Our Story

Hot Spell, inspired by traditional Nordic sauna culture, started as a weekend pop-up and has grown into a destination with two wood-fired saunas to contrast the natural Lake Michigan plunge.  We’ve created a space for people to rest and recover both mentally and physically.  

After a trip to Scandinavia, Hot Spell was inspired by a personal experience with the revitalizing benefits of cycling through the sauna and cold waters of the Baltic Sea.  We believe contrast therapy is more than a trend, it’s a timeless practice with real impact. And we’re here to share this experience with our community, one session at a time.
